On May 7, the Vancouver Aquarium stayed open late for an extraordinary group of visitors. Nearly 500 brave children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses visited the Aquarium, along with their families, for the 10th annual Dreamnight.

During Dreamnight, the Aquarium was full of smiles and laughter as staff and volunteers pitched in to celebrate this special night with our guests of honour. Award-winning performers Bobs and Lolo provided live entertainment, while everyone enjoyed beluga and dolphin shows, and touch pools filled with intriguing creatures. The evening included a special screening of BBC Earth’s The Great Salmon Run 4-D Experience while visitors were entertained by the Vancouver Aquarium’s Bee Bop  along with mascot friends FinSpike, Ronald McDonald and Bob the Brown Bear.

Fin entertained guests and apparently didn't eat before he came to Dreamnight.

Vancouver Aquarium is proud to offer Dreamnight as a complementary evening. Aquarium staff and volunteers donate their time to provide an opportunity for children to connect with aquatic animals and take part in fun activities in a safe and welcoming environment. The event brings together guests and staff in a magical environment full of laughter, hope and appreciation.

A special thank you to our presenting sponsor, Shaw Communications, and our supporting sponsors, McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada, White Spot Limited, Tim Hortons Corporation, Limelight Food of Canada, and Coca-Cola Canada. Photography for the event was provided by Brett Vo Photography.
