What would happen if our waterways overwhelmingly became garbage dumps, and once-pristine waters slowly transformed into something else altogether?
A startling new video released today by the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, presented by Loblaw Companies Limited, shows a scenario that we would all like to avoid ‒ and can, if we all take part in the solution by working to remove shoreline litter before it even makes it into our oceans, rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water.
Celebrating 20 years this fall, the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, a conservation initiative of Vancouver Aquarium and WWF, is calling on Canadians to sign up now at ShorelineCleanup.ca as site coordinators or participants for this fall’s cleanup, taking place on September 21-29, 2013. The Shoreline Cleanup is Canada’s largest direct-action conservation initiative, mobilizing participants throughout the country to remove litter from its shorelines ‒ anywhere where land meets water.
This fall, make a difference in your community and join thousands of other Canadians in the effort to protect and preserve our waterways against shoreline litter. Sign up to make a difference today at ShorelineCleanup.ca.
