If you’re a wine or seafood lover, mark your calendars – only a few weeks left to get your tickets to Wine for Waves, THE spring wine release event of the year.
Presented by the Vancouver Aquarium and Naramata Bench Wineries Association, Wine for Waves, taking place on May 2 at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, will feature Naramata Bench’s first sips of luscious spring release wines, delicious Ocean Wise tastings, and an amazing silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind wine packages and exclusive Naramata Bench experiences. All proceeds benefit the Aquarium’s national seafood sustainability program, Ocean Wise.
We are blown away by some of the Naramata Bench experiences that are part of this year’s silent auction; here is just a few examples to whet your taste buds:
– Join Miranda and Del Halladay of Elephant Island Orchard Wines for a morning stand-up paddleboard tour of the best Naramata beaches, followed by fully set-up bubbly picnic breakfast at Manitou Beach.
– Join Kettle Valley Winery for a small-group landscape photography workshop with Canadian photographer Scott Forsyth, followed by dinner with wine
pairings with the Kettle Valley owners and winemakers.
– Enjoy a complimentary tasting of Poplar Grove Winery’s signature wines for four people before sitting down to a meal inspired by local and seasonal ingredients at The Vanilla Pod Restaurant.
– Join Luke Smith, Owner and Winemaker of Howling Bluff Estate Wines, for a private vineyard tour and wine tasting of current and past vintages of award-winning Howling Bluff wines.
And this is just a small sampling of the many Naramata Bench winery experiences and wine packages that will be featured as part of the silent auction at Wine for Waves. For a full list of auction items, visit here.
