Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup’s national sponsor Ricoh celebrates EcoAction month in June, with shoreline cleanups all across Canada.
It’s the 11th anniversary of Ricoh Global’s Eco Action initiative – under which the company has implemented a broad range of global activities and local projects that share a common commitment to the environment.
To kick off EcoAction month, Ricoh Canada has partnered with the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup and is cleaning up shorelines, lakes, ponds and parks across Canada today, June 3. By partnering with the Shoreline Cleanup, Ricoh has already succeeded in diverting over 3,600 pounds of litter. The Ricoh Eco Action campaign has cleanups scheduled in 21 communities across Canada this month.
“Thanks to the efforts of Ricoh employees, thousands of pieces of litter and debris will be removed from Canadian shorelines before they can enter our waterways and cause harm. The positive impact is immediate,” said Kate Le Souef, manager of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. “Ricoh’s EcoAction month demonstrates how organizations can take the lead in caring for our environment.”
